It's special **head-to-head (H2H)** competition that runs alongside the Main rankings. It’s created after the season has started and it **will begin on Round 10, including the top 50,000 teams** in the Global ranking.

### Groups phase

The first phase of the Dunkest Cup is a a group phase, where the first 50,000 teams of the Global ranking are **randomly drawn into 5,000 groups of 10**. A full round-robin schedule is generated at creation. From **Round 10 to Round 27**, every round is one H2H fixture; the team with **more fantasy points in that round** wins the game. Group standings are ordered by **W–L record**, then by **fantasy points accumulated in Dunkest Cup rounds**.

At the end of Round 27, the **top three** from each group plus the **1.384 best fourth-placed teams** across all groups (ranked by W–L, then Dunkest Cup points) **qualify** for Knockout (total **16,384** teams). All others are eliminated from the Cup.

### Knockout phase

There is **one pause round** after Groups. Knockout then starts **on Round 33** and proceeds as **single-elimination with random pairings each Round** (no fixed bracket). In every tie, whoever scores **more fantasy points in that Round** advances. If still tied, the team with the **better overall Global Championship ranking** advances (the platform’s standard tie-break applies and, if needed, implicitly considers registration date).

And this goes on until the final game in which two teams will compete for the win!
