# Leagues

Once the fantasy team has been created, it is automatically entered into 4 types of leagues:

* **Overall League**: takes into account the total points accumulated across all 64 Regular Season Rounds + the Playoff Rounds.
* **Country League**: groups teams according to the country of residence indicated during registration.
* **Favorite Team League**: brings together teams that have selected the same favorite club.
* **Champions Series:** these are five independent leagues, each with its own standings, which take place during specific time periods throughout the season. All Dunkest teams are automatically entered into all five leagues. Details are available on the dedicated page.

**IMPORTANT**

Remember: the Regular Season and Playoffs are part of a single competition. It is no longer necessary to create a new team from scratch for the Playoffs, as the teams created during the Regular Season will continue into the postseason, with the following rules:

* The budget accumulated during the Regular Season will be retained at the start of the Playoffs.
* Transfers from the end of the Regular Season and throughout the Playoffs will be unlimited and free.
* The maximum number of players from the same real team will increase during the Playoffs.
* There will be a single overall ranking; there will not be separate standings for the Regular Season and the Playoffs.

In addition, you can enter your fantasy team into:

**Public Leagues**: open to everyone, visible and accessible without an invitation.

**Private Leagues**

In **Private Leagues**, you can choose between two game modes:

* **Overall Standings**: rankings are based on the total points accumulated during the Rounds.
* **Head-to-Head**: users compete every Round in 1 vs 1 matchups according to a schedule generated one hour before the start of the first Round.

  The result of each match is determined by the teams’ scores. Example:

  * Team A 250 pts – Team B 220 pts: Team A scored more points and wins the match;
  * Team A 220 pts – Team B 250 pts: Team B scored more points and wins the match;
  * Team A 250 pts – Team B 250 pts: both teams scored the same number of points. The winner is determined first by the higher score in the Overall League standings, and secondly by the registration date (the team that joined first wins).

  The **league standings** reflect each team's win-loss record. In case of a tie, the team with the higher Overall League score is ranked ahead (second criterion: earlier registration date).

  A Head-to-Head league can have a **maximum number of teams**, depending on the number of Rounds available, considering that:

  * if a Head-to-Head league has fewer teams than the maximum allowed, fixtures will repeat cyclically until the final Round;
  * if the league has an odd number of teams, a default team called **“Dunkest Team”** will be automatically created and assigned a score equal to the average score of all teams in that Round;
  * unlike Overall Standings leagues, new participants cannot join once the league has started.
